Installing the Dynojet AT-300 Dual Wideband / Autotune

The AT-300 dual-channel wideband / autotune kit provides vehicle-specific AFR data needed for custom tunes on a Honda Talon with Power Vision 3.

Step 1What You Need:
  • Dynojet AT-300 Dual Autotune / Dual Channel Wideband kit.
  • Power Vision 3 (PV3).
  • Two wideband O2 sensors and bung locations in the exhaust.
  • Keep the factory O2 sensor installed.
Step 2Connect the Dual Wideband Module:
  • The dual wideband module plugs into the 4-pin flat connector that pigtails off the main PV3 harness near the diagnostic port connector.
  • The module will also need to be connected to a switched power and ground.
Step 3Install Exhaust Bungs and Sensors:
  • For turbo applications install the O2 sensors in the head pipes before the turbo.
  • One bung per cylinder.
Step 4Map the Sensors (Important):
  • Sensor 1 = front cylinder.
  • Sensor 2 = rear cylinder.
  • On the back of the wideband module there is a 1 and a 2. Trace each harness to the matching bung.
Step 5Set Up the PV3 and Log Data:
  • Add gauges for Air Fuel Ratio 1 and Air Fuel Ratio 2 (AFR1 / AFR2).
  • The module needs to be connected for datalogging. You do not have to leave it plugged in all the time.
  • To start and stop a log, press the circle button on the PV3.
  • To verify on the PV3: display AFR1 and AFR2, then unplug the sensor in the front cylinder. AFR1 should stop reading. If AFR2 drops instead, the sensors are reversed. Swap them so Sensor 1 is front and Sensor 2 is rear. That makes log analysis much cleaner on our end.
  • Expected readings:
    • Sensors may sit around 10 for a few minutes while they warm up.
    • After warmup, idle is usually around 14.
    • On decel you may see around 30 because the injectors shut off.
    • At higher loads we typically like to see AFR between 11.5-12.5 (may vary depending on setup).
    • If AFR gauges do not show up after install:
      • Confirm the module is plugged into that 4-pin flat PV3 pigtail.
      • Check the wiring at the wideband module. Sometimes the wires come loose at the module.
Step 6After Install — What to Send PPEI:
  • Confirm Sensor 1 is front and Sensor 2 is rear.
  • Flash the tune file we provide (when applicable).
  • Send a datalog that includes idle and light part throttle driving.
  • Do not go over half throttle until PPEI reviews initial datalog.
  • If something looks off, reply on your ticket or email with a photo of the module wiring and which cylinder each sensor is in.

Sensor Mapping Check

Sensor 1  =  Front cylinder

Sensor 2  =  Rear cylinder

Display AFR1 and AFR2 on the PV3, then unplug the front-cylinder sensor. AFR1 should stop reading. If AFR2 drops instead, the sensors are reversed — swap them before you send a log.
